Game Modes
BeastLink game modes explained — Convergence, Battle Arena, PvP, PvE and offline play. Learn the objectives, rules and winning strategies for every mode.
Introduction
Game modes shape how every BeastLink match is played. The game launches with two headline multiplayer modes — Convergence and Battle Arena — alongside PvE co-op and offline play. Convergence focuses on squads fighting to secure the map while Beasts converge on the objective, rewarding map control and timing. Battle Arena is direct PvP combat built around squad fights and Beast-on-Beast showdowns, rewarding aggression and mechanical skill. PvE co-op lets teams face AI Beasts and hordes, while offline mode covers the tutorial and early single-player missions. Understanding how each mode changes the value of serum, vehicles and Beasts is essential to choosing the right strategy and succeeding with your squad.

Core Mechanics
The core mechanics of BeastLink’s modes revolve around how the objective changes the value of the three-way combat. In Convergence, the objective is map control, so vehicles and infantry coordination dominate the early game and a well-timed Beast Link decides the final push. In Battle Arena, the objective is pure domination, so combat power — including the Beast matchup — is everything. PvE co-op shifts the focus to survival and teamwork against AI. Every mode shares the same serum economy, the same destruction system and the same three-way roles, but each mode changes when you should save serum, when you should Link, and how aggressively you should push. Mastering these differences is what turns a competent player into a match-winning one.
Advantages
The variety of game modes makes BeastLink accessible to every type of player. Beginners can learn in PvE co-op and offline missions, competitive players can test themselves in Battle Arena, and strategic squads can showcase their coordination in Convergence. Because all modes share the same core systems, skills learned in one mode transfer directly to the others — the destruction tactics you practice in PvE work in PvP, and the serum management you master in Convergence applies to Battle Arena. This design gives the game long-term depth: no matter how the meta evolves, there is always a mode that rewards your preferred style of play.
Challenges
The main challenge with BeastLink’s modes is that balance is still developing. The game enters Early Access on August 18, 2026, so mode-specific balance — especially the Beast matchup in Battle Arena and the objective timings in Convergence — will change as the developers ship patches. Players who specialize in one mode may find their strategies invalidated by a patch, while players who spread across all modes must keep track of multiple evolving metas. PvE co-op and offline missions also offer less replay value than the competitive modes, since the AI patterns become predictable once you learn them. Finally, crossplay and ranked play have not been confirmed, so the competitive scene is still undefined.

Quick Tips
Adjust your serum strategy to the mode. In Convergence, hold serum for the final objective push and coordinate a Beast Link at the right moment. In Battle Arena, save serum for the Beast-on-Beast showdown, since winning the Kaiju duel often decides the match. In PvE, spend serum more freely to keep the pressure on AI hordes. The right serum timing is different in every mode.
Learn PvE first, then move to PvP. PvE co-op is the perfect place to practice your destruction tactics, vehicle control and Beast piloting against predictable AI before taking on human opponents. Players who jump straight into Battle Arena without learning the basics in PvE tend to struggle, because PvP punishes every mistake immediately.
Communicate Links with your squad. In both multiplayer modes, a Beast Link is a team event. Call out when you are about to Link so your squad can support you, coordinate which Beast archetype you choose based on the enemy composition, and time your Links to counter the enemy Beast. A squad that coordinates its Beast usage will beat a squad with individually better players every time.
